A second candidate is challenging an incumbent Fort Worth ISD school board member.
Fort Worth resident Josh Yoder filed Feb. 17 to run for the District 5 seat on the Fort Worth ISD school board. He joins Kevin Lynch in trying to deny trustee CJ Evans a second term.
Election Day is May 6. The last day to register to vote is April 6. Early voting is April 24 to May 2.
District 5 covers some of the most western parts of Fort Worth ISD and includes Tanglewood Elementary, William Monnig Middle School and Arlington Heights High School.
Yoder, 35, has lived in District 5 for a decade, according to his campaign paperwork.
Yoder, a managing director, faces two candidates with plenty of cash in their coffers. Lynch has nearly $18,000 in his savings account, while Evans has almost $5,000, according to their most recent campaign finance reports.
Fort Worth ISD board members are elected in single-member districts. They serve four-year terms. The seats for Districts 2, 3 and 6 also are slated for the May 6 election.
